Authorities say a former NFL player has died after being found dead at his Las Vegas home on Sunday night.
Police said a neighbor found 27-year-old Deontay Wilds, a Las Vegas native, unconscious inside a house at 2 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Lake Mead and North Las Vegas Boulevard.
A man who lived next door told police he heard a woman screaming for help around 2:20 a.mi.
A man who works at a gas station called 911 and found Wilds laying in the street.
He rushed to the scene and called police.
He told police the woman was unconscious and he called 911.
The man was taken to a hospital where he later died, police said.
The coroner’s office said Wilds’ body was found inside the home and the coroner ruled his death an accident.
He had been staying at a motel in the Las Vegas area and had no known medical conditions.
